Behind Complètement Marteau

I'm Laetitia. French by birth, Norman at heart, I crossed the Atlantic to settle in Quebec.

When I arrived here, there was one simple thing I missed: the taste of the rillettes from my childhood.

I searched, tasted, compared... but I never quite found that flavor that reminded me of family meals, large gatherings, and those moments when you simply get together around something delicious.

So I started making them myself, here in Quebec, inspired by family recipes and the memories of my childhood.

At first, I made them for myself. Then for my friends, my family, the people around me. And little by little, the rillettes started to circulate... accompanied by comments like:
"You absolutely have to let more people discover them!"

It was my loved ones who ultimately pushed me to take the rillettes out of my kitchen and introduce them to the public.

And that's how Complètement Marteau was born.

A business born out of a longing, a memory, and above all, a desire to share.

I wanted to keep that generosity and comforting aspect of the rillettes from my childhood, while also creating my own recipes, with flavor combinations that reflect me.

Today, each jar is a little invitation to share: a good slice of bread, a few friends around the table, and most importantly, no reason to rush.

Because good rillettes aren't just something you spread.

They're a memory, a moment of conviviality, and sometimes even the beginning of a beautiful story.

Complètement Marteau is about indulgence, sharing, and a good dose of character.

And why "Complètement Marteau"?

Because you have to be a little crazy ("marteau") to turn a craving for rillettes into a business... and I thought it was pretty good to own that! 😉
